This cake recipe was given to me by a friend at work. It needs to be made a day ahead. It is so moist and wonderful. You will definately want to share this one with your friends.

1 bundt cake (change servings and units)

Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 3/4 cup apricot nectar
  • 3/4 cup oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon flavoring

Glaze

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix all ingredients well.
  2. 2
    Bake 1 hour in 300 F oven in a greased and floured bundt pan.
  3. 3
    Mix glaze ingredients and pour over cake while still hot.

This was VERY easy to make. The cake was a bit crumbly, but very good texture. I found the cake just laking in flavor. . it needed more something. a

    I agree with justcallmetoni, the only problem I had with this cake was keeping DH out of it and I was unsuccessful doing that. It did get to sit for about 6 hours before he swapped a piece. I love this cake. I used a lemon cake mix instead of yellow and put it in a 9X11 dish. Cooked it for 45 minutes and it was perfect. My sister makes it all the time and it's one of her favorites and mine. Thanks JQ.

    This was really moist and delicious! I think it would be nice to sprinkle some powdered sugar on top to decorate but otherwise everything was just right.

    This recipe brings back childhood memories for me also. My grandmother used to make this for us all the time. I had misplaced the recipe and am so glad to find it here. So DELICIOUS!
