Like one of the other reviewers I also had trouble working with the dough. We used 7 tablespoons of applesauce and the dough was very crumbly, didnt want to hold together well at all. Added another tablespoon or so of applesauce and had a dough we could work with. We did end up with about 12 or more ornaments but that will depend on the size of the cookie cutters. One tip, do not roll the dough real thin, the cut outs will be hard to work with. My 11 year old nephew helped me and this was a fun project for both of us.

Maybe I'm just lacking adequate Christmas craft skills, but I thought this was a bit harder than I was expecting. I followed the amounts listed, but the dough was very crumbly, so I had to kind of eyeball it until the dough came together enough to run out. My next problem was that the dough was very sticky and working with cinnamon is definitely not as easy as working with flour. I made two batches of evergreen trees and gingerbread men and they smelled wonderful while baking. I can't wait to string them up and add them to our family christmas tree. Thanks buttercup, I'll work on the whole crafty thing.
