Absolutely the most delicious, moist cake ever with a decadent topping. Very simple to make, my family just loves this!

SERVES 12 , 1 cake (change servings and units)

    Cake:.

    Mix all cake ingredients by hand in order given.
  3. 3
    Pour in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan or springform pan.

    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes and remove.

    In saucepan mix all ingredients and bring to a slow boil for 3 minutes.

    Pour over cake and return to oven for 4 minutes.

    Absolutely THE best cake I've ever made. My entire family LOVED this cake. The flavour it exquisite. We had it warm with ice cream and then cool the next day as a cake. It was gone all too quickly and I'm off to make another one. I'm positive this will become our family's favourite cake. It sure is mine. :o) Thanks for sharing such a delicious recipe.

    Delicious! Very easy and very fast to make! Next time, I will poke a few holes in the cake so that the topping gets more evenly into the cake.

    This is an AWESOME cake! I was very worried at first as the batter barely worked together before I put the fruit in, but after I put in 3 pears and 1 granny smith apple it was just fine. It was done in exactly 45minutes and the topping....OH MY!!! After I finished baking the topping it looked like little pools of carmel on top. Dh went crazy, we love this cake very much and I will be serving it often.
