I made this morning for breakfast. Pretty fast and tasty. I did cook it in the oven as I wanted the kitchen to warm up. The apples were just soft enough but not mushy. I made this with a tart apple and that was a good thing as this was a bit sweet - it might be that I had previously cut up the apples and tossed them with brown sugar and cinnamon before I knew what I was going to do with them. It was also a bit juicy but I liked that. Thanks for a good breakie

This is perfect doubled for 2. I used a loaf pan. Quite a nice serving. I also used half brown and half Splenda. Very tasty!!!!!!!!!!!! I have made this several times with different combinations of fruits. I have used frozen peaches. Once I cleaned out the 'fridge and used an apple and grapes I cut in half. We really enjoy this dessert. It is very versatile!!!!!!!!! Update - I quadrupled this last night. Perfect!! Excellent recipe!

Really good! My whole house smells terrific from this baking! I doubled the recipe and used Royal Gala Apples as that's what I had on hand. I used softened butter and mashed the dry ingredients together with a folk to get a coarse crumble. Next time I think I'll try using Pears (a friend has a tree) and maybe just a little nutmeg. Thanks TGirl,RN for sharing this wonderful fast & easy dessert.

A true old-fashioned apple crisp recipe. Perfect for when you want something sweet but you don't want to go through the hassle of peeling and slicing 5 or 6 apples. I followed the recipe exactly using a Fuji apple and I baked it in the oven so that the topping would get nice and crunchy. Twenty five minutes exactly was perfect. Thank you for this recipe!
