I was trying to use up some store bought Apple Butter. DS didn't like it, he only wanted homemade apple butter! I follow Crock Pot Apple Butter when I make him "his" Apple Butter!! This recipe comes from Living on a Dime. Very sweet dessert. Note: I only tried this with the apple butter, I haven't tried apples yet!!

The ingredients in this recipe were essentially what I was looking for, but it was just written so badly that I had to make up A LOT as I went along. The recipe doesn't specify pan size, but for a 9x13 pan I had to make half again as much crust and use half again as much apple butter. I added the sugar in with the crust ingredients because pouring it over the already sweetened apple butter seemed ludicrous. I think next time I will actually use brown sugar instead of white for better depth of flavor too.
