My favorite dessert and very easy. I usually double the receipe. Passed from a friend to me.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Crust

Apple Layer

Topping

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix ingredients for crust and pat into a greased 9 x 9 pan.
  2. 2
    Combine ingredients in Apple Layer and place on top of crust in pan.
  3. 3
    Cover the apples with the topping.
  4. 4
    Bake 40 to 45 minutes in 350 degree oven.

Yummy!!!! I made this for my son's German Class (doubled recipe). The students loved it, teacher even sent a thank you! Very easy, tasty and authentic. Will use alittle less flour in the topping next time, did have some dry spots, but the flavor was awesome. Have to make one for home as rest of the family feels slighted. Thank you for sharing!!!!!

    i've tried several different apple crumble type desserts and none of them came out as good as i wanted. this one is excellent. very easy and delish!
