Angel Hair Pasta In Garlic Sauce

A dish that can be served plain, or add sauted shrimp, or whatever else you can think of. The basic recipe is good. We enjoy it plain too.
SERVES 6
Ingredients
-
1 (16 ounce) package capellini (angel hair pasta)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- fresh ground pepper
Directions

Cook pasta as directed on package.2
Meanwhile, heat oil in a skillet over medium high heat.3
Saute parsley and garlic in oil.4
Drain pasta well and mix with garlic mixture; top with cheese.5
Serve with pepper.

Doubled the sauce and added red pepper flakes as suggested in some reviews. Very quick and easy recipe, it will be great to use as a last minute lunch or dinner.

Although this was super simple and quick to put together, my DH and I both thought it was missing a little kick. I was going to add some red pepper flakes, but realized I was out. We did add a can of diced tomatoes as suggested. Will make again, but will probably play around with it a little, adding either some shrimp or chicken and some spice.

This is so tasty and easy to prepare. I doubled the sauce (which I think it needs for that much pasta) and cooked mushrooms with it. Thankyou for this one!

I apologize for such lateness in my review, but looking thru some of my stuff, I realized I had not posted a review of this recipe. I really enjoyed this as I am a pasta lover and the ease and simplicity of this recipe makes it a winner! Be sure to use fresh ingredients and stay away from dried or canned and you will simply love this dish. Add shrimp or chicken if you like, add a nice salad and you are set with very little effort. Thank you for a great and easy recipe, and again sorry for the tardiness of my review!
