Amazing Homemade Weed Killer

Recipe #97039 | 3 min | 3 min prep | add private note

By: txgammi
Aug 5, 2004

Highly effective! This recipe was shared with me yesterday by my neighbor, Kathrine. I had to ask her what she put on the weeds at the corner of her lot that adjoins my garden because although her weeds had turned brown and died, so did a large patch of my green grass. That's when she shared this recipe, and let me tell you....IT WORKS! Recipe can be doubled or tripled easily.

1 quart (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Boil water.
  2. 2
    Add vinegar and salt.
  3. 3
Pour HOT liquid on weeds and grass to be killed.
  4. 4
(be careful because if the water runs on top of the soil it's gonna kill whatever it touches!).

Please be aware using boiling water may also kill nearby roots of grass or flowers because it absorbs into the ground.

This does not work. I followed the directions perfectly. I am glad I didn't pay for this info.

I tried this because it didn't contain harsh chemicals. I used it on a small part of gravel driveway and a few days later the weeds were dried up. Now I have to mix up some more for the rest of it.
