Alton Brown is my hero too. But try Kittencal's pan release #78579. It REALLY works, even in fancy fluted pans. I've never had anything stick with that!...Janet

I tagged this in Please Review bcz I love Alton Brown. I tried this with Spectrum's Organic Shortening and whole wheat flour. Not sure if using the whole wheat changed it, but I didn't see a big difference between that and just spraying with cooking spray. I made muffins and one actually stuck. Would love to see someone else review it who used all-purpose flour.
