Aim's Favorite Pickle Cheese Melt

Redneck Epicurean

You know, growing up, I had all sorts of funny combos of food I liked. This one seems to be the one I am still eating when I want a snack and nothing else in the house sounds good. I love it with Chicken Noodle Soup.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat a skillet and toss in enough butter to fry your sandwich. I tend to use more than necessary, usually, because I like mine more wet than toasty.
  2. 2
Place the pickle slices on top of the cheese and top with the other cheese slice and bread.
  3. 3
Fry the sandwich until it gets browned like you like it, but long enough on either side to melt the cheese until gooey.
  4. 4
    Eat it while it's hot!

Yummy little snack. I had it for lunch today. I added one thing: fry an onion slice in butter first, remove onion and then proceed with the rest. Put the fried onion on top of pickles and cheese and smoosh it all together for a most decadent little cheesy, buttery treat!
