Adam's Famous Tortilla Soup

My husband got this original receipe from his mom, but he has since made his own modifications. It's one of my faves and he has even made it for co-workers and they love it. I hope you will love it too!

SERVES 4 -6 (change servings and units)

    Heat Butter and oil in a large pot until butter is melted.
  2. 2
    Sauté onion, jalapeño, garlic, carrots, celery and chicken; simmer 5 minutes.

    Add cumin, salt, chili powder, lemon pepper and flour. Stir to blend.

    Add tomatoes and chicken broth. Mix well. Simmer for 1 hour.

    Add cilantro and lime juice.
  6. 6
    Put in individual serving bowls in order of preference: tortilla chips, sour cream, cheese, and soup.
