I made this last Christmas and it was a big hit! It is so embarassingly simple.

SERVES 12 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Combine sugar and cinnamon; set aside.

    Melt butter over low heat.
  3. 3
    Add selected Chex cereal.
  4. 4
    Heat until all pieces are coated.
  5. 5
    Continue for 5 to 6 minutes.
  6. 6
    Sprinkle half of mixture (cinnamon and sugar) over Chex cereal evenly.
  7. 7
    Continue to sprinkle sugar mixture over Chex until all is covered.
  8. 8
    Heat one minute longer.
  9. 9
    Spread on paper towel to cool.

My kid goes in and out with cereal in the morning, so we've had a box of unopened Rice Chex siiting on the shelf for a while, which made me decide to try this. Very tasty! Thanks!

    I prepared this as a sweet snack for our Super Bowl snacking. The cinamon and sugar mixture is just right on this crispy little snack.
