These are very similar to Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits but a lot better than the recipes that start with Bisquick, in my opinion. The kids adore them.

I have made these at least three times. They are great! They have no preservative tastes and you know what goes into the mix. I did add 1/2 t. garlic salt to the butter and powder at the end. Excellent.

Excellent biscuits Marg! I can't say enough about these, they were light and fluffy, and oh so delicious! one of the better recipes for biscuits, and I have tryed many LOL! I baked the first batch, and they turned out so good I decided to made another, and stuck them in the freezer. I used 2 HEAPING teaspoons for the baking powder and 1/2 cup finely shredded cheddar cheese instead of the 1/4 cup that the recipe called for. I will be making these again very soon. Thanks so much Marg for sharing such a wonderful recipe!...Kittencal

Oh wow!!! these are incredable, didn't have any cream of tarter so I added an extra teaspoon of baking powder and just a pinch of soda. I followed the lead and used 1/2 cup of sharp cheddar and had some herbed feta I needed to us up, so ended up with about 3/4 cup of cheese total! the taste was just outstanding; they were tender and a little crisp on the outside, from the cheese and soft and fluffy inside. DH said they tasted from heaven. Thanks for sharing this special recipe, we will be making them again and again.
