My mom and I came up with this recipe when I was a teenager. We love it! I especially like the way the honey soaks into the unbuttered portions of the bread and makes it a little chewier.

SERVES 1 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Butter bread thinly.
  2. 2
    Spread honey on bread.
  3. 3
Unwrap slice of processed cheese and place on top of honey.
  4. 4
    Enjoy.
  5. 5
If you would like, spread butter and honey on another slice of wholemeal bread and make it a closed sandwich.

I made these this morning for my son and I. He took the cheese off of his but I really liked mine! Thanks for an easy and different recipe!

I used 2 slices of wheat bread for this, spread butter on the out side of it, and toasted it in a saute pan until the cheese melted (a grilled cheese sandwich), and it was great! I loved the whole sweet and cheesey thing it had going on. The flavors really complimented eachother. I think this would also be great with ham because honey and ham already go great together, and now I know cheese and honey go great together. Wow, this was a bold move to post this (lots of people who are alittle scared to try new things). It is a great recipe though! And anyone reading this review and this recipe needs to just give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!
