Crock Pot Chinese Chicken With Pineapple

Tasty Chinese dish made in the crock pot!

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat crock pot on high.
  2. 2
    Season chicken with salt and pepper.
  3. 3
    Heat oil in skillet and brown chicken on all sides, transfer to crock pot.
  4. 4
    Mix all remaining ingredients, except the cornstarch, into the skillet and heat through, stirring well, transfer to crock pot.

    Turn crock pot to low and cook for 8 hours until chicken is tender, depending on your crock pot.
  6. 6
    Half an hour before serving, blend the cornstarch with a little water and stir into the crock pot to thicken sauce.

    Serve on rice.

I was really looking forward to this recipe. Unfortunately it didn't live up to my expectations. It was rather bland and I didn't like what flavor there was, at all. My children had seconds, though. I guess this recipe is just not for my tastebuds.

    I never comment. But this was delicious. The family loved it. The only thing i did different was use some chili pepper flakes and boneless thighs. It was great.

    Great flavor and the chicken was so tender and flavorful. I used 6 chicken thighs and had plenty of sauce for all.
