I like these because they are so quick and easy. Even though you use Bisquick, they don't come out tasting like Bisquick or like baking powder. I always have to double the batch to make sure I get some!

    Preheat oven to 450.
  2. 2
    Mix the Bisquick, buttermilk and sugar together in a bowl.
  3. 3
    Add the melted butter into the batter.
  4. 4
    Stir until a soft dough forms.
  5. 5
    Turn out onto a well floured work surface.
  6. 6
    Knead 20 times (this is a very forgiving dough), and don't be afraid to get additional flour into the dough.

    Roll 1/2 thick, or thicker if you prefer towering biscuits.

    Place close together on an ungreased baking sheet.
  9. 9
    Brush tops with melted butter.
  10. 10
    Bake for 8 to 10 minutes; I usually find 8 minutes is enough.

    When you remove the biscuits from the oven, brush the tops with melted butter again.

    This is my first attempt at biscuits using a recipe. My mom doesn't cook with recipes; she uses "a splash of this" and a "little bit of that". However, I am unable to cook without a recipe. I was so excited to find this one because it seemed easy, and it was! I didn't have buttermilk, so I used regular milk, and it took my biscuits 12 minutes to bake, and they are delicious!

    I can't believe I am the first to make and review this recipe. These biscuits are soooooooo good! Perfect in every way! The rise high, the are soft and tender and the flavor is amazing. They don't have a Bisquick flavor at all and they do taste like Cracker Barrell's yummy biscuits! I topped mine with apple jelly and another one with honey. Delicious!

    In 30 years of hard core baking, this is without question the most exquisitely delicious biscuit recipe ever. I brushed mine with melted butter and honey. Good grief. Bury me in these biscuits.
