Quick Pasta Sauce

Recipe #93944 | 35 min | 5 min prep | add private note

This recipe was on the back of a can of Delmonte Stewed tomatoes. It is a quick fix and alot cheaper than the jarred sauce. Plus it tastes more homemade.

Like ms_bold I served this with Spinach Meatballs and it was wonderful! I used two teaspoons of both the seasoning and added some salt....perfect! Next time I think I will add some sauted onions and red wine and see how that works. Great recipe!!

This is easy & quick and is better for you than canned sauce, of which I was out, leading me to this recipe. I only used one can of sauce, and 2 tsps of the seasonings. I used my immersion blender and left it a bit chunky. Paired with whole-wheat angel hair & topped with parmesan cheese, and we had a very quick, tasty weeknight meal.

So simple and with great flavor. I did only use one can of tomato sauce and started with sautéed onions and garlic. I also added a good splash of red wine for depth of flavor. We served this with Spinach Meatballs (Spinach Meatballs) and penne pasta.
