Excellent smoothie recipe. I made this with frozen strawberries and cherries. My family couldn't tell there were carrots or tofu in it. Love the added flax, wheat germ & wheat bran. Thanks for a terrific addition to our breakfast routine.

So good and so good for you!! You'll really feel like you're doing something good for your body having this yummy shake for breakfast or snack. I followed the recipe except using vanilla soy milk rather than plain. So far I've used mango and strawberry but plan to try every other fruit in my freezer for variety. I really like the mango, tasted very similar to a thick orange julius. Even my kids liked this which is high praise indeed. Thanks, Roosie, I'll be making this often!! — UPDATE: Made this today with frozen blueberries and some Pom juice thrown in. So good! May be my new favorite! Thanks, Roosie!

I used frozen rasberries, skim milk (because I ran out of soy milk and haven't found that the rice milk I bought works like I want it to), and light silken tofu. I also used whole flax seed because I did not have any ground and I did not have anything to grind it with. I figured that it would get fully ground while mixing. That did not quite work and left it with tiny pieces of crunchy things in it. And the drink was not very sweet. That said, it had nice flavor and my kids loved it. Even the picky one had some! I think next time I may leave the flax out completely, and use slightly sweeter fruit. But a nice pick-me-up in the middle of the day! Thanks for another yummy healthy one, Roosie!
