Wow! This is the first recipe that was well-received by my 5 year old son. Kids are so honest, and his reaction to this bread was that it tasted "just like real bread"! He wanted to butter up a slice right away and the loaf was gone in 2 days. Great! Thanks so much for the recipe post! We'll be making this one a lot in the future, I'm sure. It's very light and fluffy, soft and moist! A great bread for all types of sandwiches. I used regular butter instead of the shortening because my son is allergic to soy, and it turned out great! Thanks again!

This is a very good bread that I have made for my DH sandwiches. I will be making may more times since I have found that making wheat breads are a little hard for me these days.(two loaves in freezer for bread crumbszz0

one of the other reviewers has said that the honey flavor develops nicely the next day, but i don't think we are going to get the chance to find that out for ourselves. the aroma is still wafting through the house and we are busy tucking into the subject as i write this. lovely bread but in my case it turned out slightly denser than i would have liked. i did follow the directions exactly. thanks for posting.

Delicious!! In the few weeks I have used my new bread machine, I have looked high and low (and tested many recipes) for the "perfect" white bread. When we tasted this recipe, my husband and I both said at the same time "this is it!" Made great sandwiches and toasted well too. I am so glad I finally found a good recipe for such a basic bread. Thank you for sharing your recipe.
