What a great treat. Very rich, creamy and easy to prepare. They are wonderful for an assortment of sweets during the holidays or a cookie exchange. Perfect for the chocoholic!

Ingredients

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. 2
    In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder and baking powder.
  3. 3
    Cut in the butter until crumbly.
  4. 4
    Press mixture on bottom of ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan.
  5. 5
    Bake for 12 minutes, remove from oven and cool slightly.
  6. 6
    In a medium-sized bowl, combine the eggs, milk, coconut and pecans.

    Pour over the crust.
  8. 8
    Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until set in center.
  9. 9
    Cool and cut into bars.
  10. 10
    In top of a double boiler over boiling water, melt the chocolate chips and melted butter until smooth, drizzle over the cut bars.

    I make these all the time now, coconut lovers and haters unite and both love these. I have given the recipe away to mostly everyone who tries these, I am going to make a prediction and say this recipe will someday be on the top 40 for fabulous taste and ease of preperation, thanks again!

    Rich and moist! If you have a sweet tooth this is for you! I did make these for the holidays so into the freezer they go. I must be strong. Yes I have good will power. How many more days for Christmas? Thanks Paula!
