These cookies are soooo good. I had used this recipe exactly that I got from another source, and made these about once a week for a friend of mine. One of the best parts was scrapping the pan down with a spoon, after scooping out the cookies, and eating what was left.

I crave no bakes. Honestly, I do. I liked the lower butter content on these. I used half splenda/half sugar. While I could taste a difference (I think the splenda made it a little less sweet and therefore the tastes were not as pronounced) these covered my horrible craving in a way that made me feel a little better about the fat content. (I used skim milk by the way!) Thanks so much.

I grew up making and eating no bake cookies. I chose this recipe because it uses the least amount of butter of any no bake cookie recipe I've found. I made the following changes, reduced the sugar to 1 3/4 cups from 2 cups, I used natural peanut butter, and increased the oatmeal to 3 1/2 cups from 3 cups. I thought the cookies came out very chocolately and full of peanut butter flavor. My children enjoyed them as well. Thank you for posting this wonderful cookie recipe.

I agree that this is the best recipe for no bake cookies because it calls for only 2 tablespoons of butter. I have used different recipes in the past and my daughters said they thought this one tasted "creamier" I followed the directions except I added the butter to the mixture that you cook on the stove. The results were perfect. I have used only 1 1/2 cups of sugar with good results too! Thanks! KCShell
