Taken off a website, don't have the reference. An excellent hummus, the only one I make anymore. You really need a blender or food processor to get the consistency right. 1/4 cup = 1 point ww.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Combine everything in blender or food processor and process until smooth.
  2. 2
The blender gives the best result.
  3. 3
If you need more liquid to make a nice consistency, add a bit more yogurt.
  4. 4
    Chill.
  5. 5
Serve with pitas or as a veggie dip.

I've never tried hummus at all before and I have to admit when I tried this plain, I thought I had wasted my time. But when I dipped my veggie stuffed pita in it, I was amazed at the difference. All of a sudden, I loved it. So, thanks for the recipe and opening my eyes to something new.

Fantastic! I used 1T of minced garlic, sea salt for the salt, about 1/2 of a roasted red bell pepper and fat free sour cream instead of yogurt because that's what I had on hand. I processed for several minutes in my food processor to get it to the right consistency. We all loved it and couldn't tell the difference between this and high fat store bought!

Fabulous - I used 1/2 c. yoghurt and no parsley and it was still outstanding. Will definitely make again soon.
