Simple salad that I like making during Spring/Summer. Recipe source: Bon Appetit (May 1982)

SERVES 10 -15 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Combine lettuce, spinach and cabbage in a large salad bowl.
  2. 2
    Arrange oranges along inside rim of bowl.
  3. 3
    Place strawberries and kiwi on top of the oranges.
  4. 4
    Cover with onion rings.
  5. 5
    Add dressing to salad.
  6. 6
    Cover and refrigerate.
  7. 7
    Toss before serving.

I rated this earlier in the day. I don't know what happened. The salad is elegant and can be proud at any dinner. It has a pleasing combination of fruit and vegetables. Something I plan to do again.

    Thank you suggesting this recipe in my thread for what dish to take to a barbecue. I made this salad to go along with my pork kebobs (which I used recipe 17981). I used a bottled mango poppy seed dressing. This salad was simply delicious and easy to make. Thanks Ellie2
