Butter Chicken

Recipe #88578 | 30 min | 10 min prep | add private note

A lovely combination of spices and the chicken is beautifully tender and moist. This was a recipe from a supermaket promotion, which I have slightly adapted to my own tastes. Very rich, so we do not have it too often! Served over rice and with a fresh salad to counteract the richness.

I had never had this dish before so I am not sure what to compare it to. I may have overchopped my onions in a food porcessor and I used lowfat half and half so maybe it is my fault it isn't 5 stars but I wanted to cut calories. I also used part real butter and part butter spread. I think I will make this using all the right ingredients when I am not trying to diet! Thanks!

Easy, easy and reminds us of the butter chicken from the Indian restaurants. I followed the directions without a problem. The butter amount equals 2 Tbsp. Thanks for a nice recipe.

WOW, I think I just made the best recipe I've ever found on Zaar! I am a lover of Indian food though before this, had never attempted it at home, thinking I wouldnt be able to capture the taste. But I was wrong! This was soooo freakin awesome I had to post something about it in Talk. I bow down to you and will make this for the rest of my life! Thank you SOOOO much for making my first attempt at Indian food an unforgettable one!!
