A simple and easy to make but oh so yummy recipe. Known as Apple crumble in the UK and Apple Crisp in the US

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Put apples in an 8 or 9 inch square baking dish.
  2. 2
    Combine the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl and mix.
  3. 3
    Spread crumble mixture over apples and bake for 35 minutes in a 375ºF degree oven.
  4. 4
    For an added treat top off with a little English custard.

very easy and tasty. not the best crisp ive tasted but well done.i thought the crust could have been crispier. i mixed in a tbp sugar,lemon juice and cinnamon with the chopped apples. enjoy it with run raisin ice cream.

    FABULOUS! If you are an apple dessert person...this is one of the best I've had. What a GREAT dessert for company with a scoop of Ben and Jerry's vanilla. I doubled the amount of "crumble" on the top as the original recipe seemed skimpy (or my apples were big), anyway, it turned out PERFECTLY.
