This can be served as a dinner or an appetizer. It is positively amazing. This is my own creation inspired by my favorite dish at a local NJ restaurant. I hope you like it as much as I do.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Directions

  1. 1
Make the mustard first: Mix all ingredients in a small saucepan.

    When somewhat smooth, it's done.
  4. 4
Now start the tuna: TUNA Cut up tuna in large bite size pieces Coat with blackening seasoning Heat oil in pan till very hot, but not smoking Sear tuna on all sides for about 7-10 minutes total.

It's good for the tuna to be slightly pink on the inside.
  7. 7

I made this and my boyfriend loved it! Followed the recipe exactly and loved it! Especially the sauce. We use it for my crab cakes now too! We will definitely be having this again!

This was quick, easy, and delicious. It's great because I already had all of the ingredients, so I didn't have to go to the market. I served it with roasted aspargus.

These are fantastic! Very similar to what we get at AJ Gators. I used Zatarain's Blackening Seasoning and I didn't have any sour cream so I halved the Cajun Mustard recipe using just the mayo. IF there's any left over it's TDF tossed in a salad!

This was fantastic and very easy to make. The sauce was incredible and tasted like something from a fancy restaurant. I made this recipe blackening both tuna and shrimp and then put a few dollops of the sauce over all. Thanks for the recipe!
