Creamy Garlic Dressing

For all you garlic lovers, this is a delicious dressing, and a long time family favorite 
1 1/2 cups (approx)
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tablespoons minced onions
- 3-4 cloves finely minced garlic (or more if you dare!)
- 1/4-1/3 cup sugar (or (to taste)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise (not salad dressing)
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream
- salt and pepper
Directions

In a small saucepan, combine vinegar, water, onion and garlic; simmer until onion is tender (about 5 minutes).2
Add in sugar and simmer until dissolved. Cool to room temperature.3
Stir in mayonnaise, sour cream, salt and pepper.4
Refrigerate dressing for 2 hours or more.5
Delicious!

FANTASTIC Kitten. I made this last night to serve over a cobb salad and it was loved by all. I only used 2 tbsp sugar but other than that I made as directed. You never dissapoint me with your recipes Kitten!!! Thank you, Maria

I have used this recipe several times. I use a little more onion than the recipe calls for but otherwise I make no changes. This recipe is fantastic! I have many requests for this recipe and I love it. You wont regret trying this recipe it is cool, creamy, garlicy and tangy!

Better than any dressing I ever had. The first time I did it I didn't read the directions properly and didn't heat anything. It was still good. Definately better, though, when I did it right.
