Absolutely perfect! I used to enjoy coffee jello (and tea jello) when I lived in Japan, and this is just how I remember it. Best to start with a good brew of your favorite coffee beans because coffee really is the main flavor, and mediocre coffee will have the same results. This is perfection for dessert! I served it in small coffee cups so that it looked like the real thing, and it only made 8 servings that way, but it looked awesome. Thanks for sharing this easy, yummy and classy recipe.

Thank you for posting this recipe. My 79 year old dad was remembering when my Mom used to make this for him back when they were first married (in the late 1940's I believe). I made it for him as a surprise for our Christmas gathering and he was very please. It was the exactly as he remembered, served with whipped cream. I really enjoyed and will definitely be making this again in warmer weather. (December in Maine was VERY cold this year)

I am not a big fan of jello but I love coffee so decided to try this one! I made one batch with very strong regular coffee and the second batch with homemade Kahlua. Both were incredible! I loved the Kahlua one quite a bit better though. (I wonder why!) With some sweetened whipped cream and a drizzle of caramel I was grinning over this fun dessert! Next time I will be trying a bit of chocolate sauce over it.

My mother would make coffee jello with banana slices suspended in it. If I was a good boy I got it with whipped cream!
