Hot Chicken Nacho Dip (You won't want to share!!)

Recipe #81775 | 55 min | 15 min prep | add private note

This dish is served at a local restaurant that refused to give out the recipe. Well, I ate enough of it and through some pretty thorough taste testing have duplicated it exactly. This does not last long at all. Enjoy!

SERVES 8 -10 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees. Marinate chicken in Dale Sauce or other marinade for at least one hour in fridge.
  2. 2
    Drain.
  3. 3
Fry until cooked in hot skillet.
  4. 4
Transfer to a bowl and toss with all of the sour cream.
  5. 5
Place in a 9X13 pan or other casserole pan and top with black olives, top with mushrooms.
  6. 6
    Top this with both cheeses.
  7. 7
Bake 30 minutes at 350 Degrees or until cheese is melted and slightly browned.
  8. 8
Top with tomatoes, lettuce, and green onions and serve immediately with thick tortilla chips.
  9. 9
This could be the best nacho dip in the world!

I had some leftover grilled chicken planks from a restaurant that I wanted to use up. So I skipped the marinating and frying and just cut the chicken up. I didn't really bother to measure, since I was sure I had the incorrect amount of chicken and just eyeballed the proportions of the rest of the ingredients. I was able to fit everything into a 10" deep dish pie plate. Since I was in a hurry to get dinner on the table I didn't bother to add the toppings of tomatoes, lettuce and onions. The kids don't like any of those anyway. Final verdict, I loved it. I didn't give it 5 stars though since I actually skipped a few steps and am not sure how it would have tasted with the Dale sauce. In any case I enjoyed it, thanks for the recipe.

Everyone liked this...except I have no idea what 'dale sauce' is (going to have to check that out) but based on the suggestion I used a Knorr sesame marinade I had in the pantry...requires sturdy chips as directed cause it is a lot to load on..next time I may try grinding the meat very coarsely or serve it over tortilla chips and provide huge spoons!

Very nice. We all enjoyed this for dinner last night. My tortilla chips needed to be thicker, because this is heavy, but other than that, it was perfect. Thanks for posting.
