Leftover Ham Casserole

Recipe #80724 | 1½ hours | 10 min prep | add private note

By: CountryLady

This is a Mother/Daughter "creation" for using the leftover spiral ham from Christmas day - just add a green veg or salad to complete the meal. Quick, easy & very good - I'll buy another ham just so I can make it again!!

My husband liked this but I just thought it was okay. I did skip the white wine because I didn't have any.

Excellent casserole CL! I had leftover ham in my freezer just calling me to use up! I made a couple of changes however.... I doubled the recipe, as my son was coming over, and added fresh minced garlic, two packs of chicken boullion and a couple tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce mixture, I also used grated marble cheese in place of the monterey jack cheese, and baked it in a 13x9 inch casserole dish, it fit just perfectly, it's almost like a kicked up scalloped potato casserole but much better! This is a definate keeper CL! thanks so much for sharing.....Kitten|

This is SOOOO good! I did use mild cheddar cheese instead of monterey jack because that is all I had. I did double the recipe but I tripled the sauce and it turned out fantastic. Gobbled up by all!
