Exellent dressing! It tastes like the real Houston's Buttermilk Garlic Dressing. I lightened it up by using fat free sour cream, fat free mayonaise and light buttermilk. Fat free Miricle Whip works too.

I've served this dressing three times now and had mixed reviews. As a dip for veggies, we did like it, and as a dressing for a tomato salad it was quite good. But as a salad dressing, it just doesn't work for our tastes. Made for Cookbook Tag, please see my rating system as I rate tougher than most.

Just made up a batch of your dressing. The taste is terrific. Can't wait to use on our salads tonight. I used 2 tablespoons of dry buttermilk dressing mix which I added to the dry ingredients; then added a half cup of water and stirred together before mixing in the sour cream and mayo. Thanks for a wonderful recipe! M.Joan
