CQ's Barbecued Ribs

Recipe #79188 | 6 hours | 4 hours prep | add private note

By: EdsGirlAngie
Dec 17, 2003

This is the way my mother prepared spareribs. She too was a fan of vinegary flavors (the Portuguese in us!), and these fit the bill. Just sweet enough, with a little bite of cider vinegar and dry mustard, slowly cooked and satisfying. Prep time includes marinating.

SERVES 6 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Marinade

Directions

  1. 1
Combine marinade ingredients and marinate ribs in mixture for 4 to 6 hours.
  2. 2
My mother's cooking directions: Bake in 450 degree F oven to brown for 30 minutes.
  3. 3
When browned, lower temperature to 300 degrees and cook for about 90 minutes more, turning and basting with more marinade every 15 to 20 minutes.
