Pudding Chocolate Chip Cookies

Recipe #78350 | 40 min | 15 min prep | add private note

By: Mairead Kelly

These cookies melt in your mouth. The pudding makes the texture so smooth and delicious. It's funny, these cookies were originally suppossed to be made with vanilla pudding, but I made a mistake and put in chocolate pudding and they were wonderful! If you're in the mood for chocolate then makes sure to use chocolate pudding instead of vanilla!

This is the same recipe that I received from a friend years ago and it is the only one I make now! I usually make the batch of dough, bake 4 cookies and put the rest of the dough in the fridge. Then we make cookies a few at a time and always eat them warm!

This is the only chocolate chip cookie recipe I ever use. I use all butter and roll the dough into balls before baking. This makes the cookies uniform in size, very chewy and keeps them from flattening out.

made these cookies to send to my hubby who is deployed to IRAQ. the kids and I had to taste test some, of course. hehe. and they were really yummy... i did have to add a little bit of water to the mix... they were sooo yummy when they were warm. but we each had one 2 days later, and they weren't as chewy and as "melt-in-your-mouthy" as they were when i first made them....so I hope my hubby still enjoys them when he receives them (seems to take 6-7 days for him to get my packages)
