  1. 1
In the peak of tomato season, chill 1 very large or 2 medium size tomatoes that have been vine-ripened and have plenty juice.

  3. 3
Add layer of tomatoes cut 1/4 inch thick.
  4. 4
    Salt & Pepper to taste.
  5. 5

Roll up your sleeves and start eating over the kitchen sink while the juice runs down your elbows.

Made for lunch today using a toasted whole pita pocket and Duke mayonnaise. I added some lettuce to make it a huge sandwich and I was in heaven with each bite! With vine fresh tomatoes in season, this makes for a juicy run down your arm sandwich that is low in calories! Yummy to my tummy! Love em! Thanks so much for sharing Danny!

One of my favourite sandwiches! Easy and very satisfying!! I sometimes use tartar sauce instead of mayo, you should really try it!

One of my mostest bestest favorites! Tomato acid has a tendency to blister my mouth(strawberries do the same thing), so I sometimes add sweet pickles and/or lettuce to my sandwiches counteract the affect. Ends up like a Veggie Whopper, but much better! I also love adding cheese! Sometimes I'll put my sandwich on the George Foreman grill for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese and toast it up a bit.

This is one of my all time favorite sandwiches to eat in the summertime. Beefsteak tomatoes with that lovely acidic taste combined with that tangy Miracle Whip. To be daring, sometimes I add a slice of Texas 1015's. Have a handtowel ready, as paper towels can't keep up. 5*'s all the way!
