A great marinade. If you are short on marinade time just reserve enough of the marinade to baste while grilling.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
Marinate 4 salmon steaks, in covered dish for 4-6 hours.
  2. 2
Grill for 10 minutes per inch of steak thickness at thickest part.
  3. 3
    Turn halfway through cooking.
  4. 4
Keep a close eye on steaks as the oil sometimes causes flames.
  5. 5
If you choose it is helpful to make a foil boat to contain the fish in.

Wonderful! I didn't add the salt, since I used Kikkoman soy sauce, and that's pretty salty to start with. Delicious and ddidn't overwhelm the fish either. I'll use this from now on. Thanks for posting!

Very nice! I used this on two huge salmon fillets that in all weighed 550 g and baked in the oven - 180 C and 40 minutes. Next time I'll use a bit more soy sauce and salt as I did find I had to sprinkle on some more salt once this was on my plate, but I do think the combination of the flavours is very good!

We really enjoyed this salmon marinade. I used salmon fillets and baked rather than grilled. I particularly liked the hot/sweet flavour and will make this again..in the oven AND on the grill, thanks for sharing.
