This is my version of this famous Cdn. Eatmore Bar. These taste exactly the same. Its a must try if you like Eatmores.

20 squares (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
First, I place my regular large oats into a processor and process down to make a small flake oat.
  2. 2
Do not pulverize, keep into a small flake.
  3. 3
Next chop peanuts, not too fine.
  4. 4
Prepare a 10 x 6 inch pan (brownie pan) lightly with spray or a butter (this will give you a thicker square).
  5. 5
In a saucepan add the peanut butter and corn syrup and bring to a low boil, and stir well, then remove from heat.
  6. 6
Add chipits, small flakes oats, and peanuts.
  7. 7
Mix well until chocolate is all melted and combined evenly.
  8. 8
    Pour in to prepared pan.
  9. 9
Chill to harden, remove five minutes, then slice into bars.

I was leary at first about the oatmeal. HOWEVER... this was easy to make and WONDERFUL to eat. The oatmeal works like a charm. The only thing I changed was adding the chocolate chips sooner to make sure they melted and then added the oats and peanuts. AWESOME!

My family are chocolate bar nuts and when they tasted these they were amazed at how good and just like eatmores they were. My bars were a bit more nuttier as I used cruchy peanut butter and reduced the other peanuts a little. Next time though I will use smooth and impress the kids even more! Thanks a great and easy recipie.
