Quick Soft Breadsticks

Our family likes these breadsticks because they are soft and chewy. I like to make them when I am in a hurry because they rise quickly.

18 breadsticks (change servings and units)

These were easy and turned out so good. They have a great texture and look like something you'd buy in a restaurant. Very soft and delicious the next day too.

YUM!! I only had enough yeast for half a batch. I brushed them all with butter, then put garlic salt on some, cheese on some and cinnamon/sugar on some. I also left a couple of them plain. Meet my new breadstick recipe!!

These are FABULOUS!!! I followed the directions exactly ... when they came out of the oven, I brushed them all with melted garlic butter ,and on half of them, I sprinkled parmesan cheese on them. MM!!!!! I ate, like 5, of them right out of the oven! LOL I rolled out my regtangle and marked off where to cut them , I only got 15 breadsticks, but what I did was after cutting them from top to bottom , I cut them across the middle , giving me a double batch of actually, regular size breadsticks. A PIZZA cutter works WONDERFUL for cutting this dough! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!! I have a feeling I'll be baking a LOT of breadsticks!

I'm officially addicted! I have been looking for years for a great recipe for garlic breadsticks and have been disappointed time and again. The search is over. I was looking for something similar to Olive Garden's breadsticks, but these are even better. Unbelievably soft & elastic. When I took the dough out of my bread machiine I was tempted to add a little more flour because I thought the dough was too sticky to roll out. I'm glad I didn't. They were truly perfect!
