Try other Yankee Chili recipes

My husband said this was the best chili he'd ever had. Good and thick - I used the diced tomatoes and chili peppers. Even my 3 kids (ages 4,3,and 1) ate it. This one is a keeper!

Excellent easy chili recipe. I made a few modifications to suit our tastes. I used petite-diced tomatoes with green chiles and added a can of chili beans to the mix. I also rinsed my kidney beans to reduce the sodium content, and added some water to make up for the lost liquid. I increased the cumin to up the smokey flavor and really liked that balance. This was part of a simple Christmas Eve dinner with family. Thanks for posting.

This recipe is virtually identical to one we've been using for many years apart from the cumin - good idea! We serve it in a pitta bread with side orders of diced cucumber soaked in balsamic vinegar and a dollop of creme fraiche or soured cream.
