I get a lot of requests for this - it's addictive!

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

    *note:If you or your family are sensitive to MSG, don't use Sazon!

    You can substitute 1 tsp ground cumin, plus some garlic salt, if needed.
  3. 3
    In a large saucepan, heat olive oil over medium heat.
  4. 4
    Sauté onion and pepper until onion starts to look translucent.
  5. 5
    Add garlic and tomato.
  6. 6
    Stir in both cans of beans and heat to just boiling.
  7. 7
    Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. 8
    Stir in Sazon (or alternate seasoning).
  9. 9
    Serve over rice.

I doubled the garlic... DH is a double garlic kinda guy and used Salsa option over the tomatos. This is an easy, healthy, tasty vegetarian dish... perfect for weeknights or busy weekends. Thanks!

    i substituted a 4 ounce can green chilies instead of the bell pepper and it was delicious, and very easy to prepare. i served it with yellow rice.

    This is really easy, and a satisfying meatless meal. It was just a wee bit bland for our taste, next time I will probably add a can of chopped chiles. Definitely a keeper!
