Grilled Turkey Burgers

Recipe #67275 | 32 min | 10 min prep | add private note

I love to serve these burgers up on a hot day! I enjoy turkey burgers much more than beef burgers. For a jucier burger, try not to use the leanest ground turkey. The leaner the turkey, the drier your burgers will be.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
First you will want to heat your grill to HIGH.
  2. 2
In a bowl, combine your turkey with grated cheese with a fork.
  3. 3
Then add the scallions, breadcrumbs, garlic, and mustard.
  4. 4
    Season with salt and pepper.
  5. 5
Then gently form turkey mixture into four patties, approximately 1 inch thick.
  6. 6
If you have trouble forming patties, you may need to add more breadcrumbs; it really depends on the amount of moisture that your meat contains.
  7. 7
Lightly oil your grill and place patties on the hottest point of your grill, and sear them until they are browned*this will take approximately 1-2 minutes on each side* Move the patties to a"cooler" part of the grill, and continue grilling until they are cooked through, aproximately 5-10 minutes on each side.
  8. 8
I serve these on buns (i grill my buns a little!), tomato, lettuce, and some enjoy pickles on them!

I like these a lot and I usually don't like turkey burgers.

Very good, I might do a little less mustard next time though. I also left out the cheese from inside and put cheddar on top. I cooked in a cast iron skillet in the stove, then broiled it with cheese. My husband loved it and he is a beef guy!

Yum! These are delicious and flavorful! They're definitely a nice change from the usual beef burgers. I used soy swiss cheese in place of the gruyere for dietary reasons, and only used 3 scallions. Other than that I followed the directions exactly, and they turned out fabulous! Thanks for a new Summer favorite, Angela!

This recipe deserves 10 stars. I have been trying a lot of turkey burger recipes and this is definitely the winner of them all. I used 3/4 cup of gruyere and 1/4 cup panko bread crumbs and followed the rest of the recipe to the the letter. Very moist and yummy!
