This is a very good recipe. I've tried many pancake recipes and this one is the best and to to it off it's healthy. I did modify the recipe. I used 1 cup flour, 1/2 c whole wheat flour, and 1/2 c cornmeal. Next time I'll try using a little more whole wheat flour and cut down on the regular white flour.

fantastic, my dad loved them! i made these a while ago but i remember they were great, so surprised that it tasted so good when it is 100 % whole wheat!

Who needs Bisquick with a recipe like this? In an effort to improve my family's diet a little, I am trying to switch to whole-wheat recipes where possible. We love our pancakes so I am glad I found this one! We followed the directions as written, and we got 20 delicious, good sized, light and fluffy pancakes! We added blueberries to half the batch and I have to admit, I liked these best when they were plain...just a spritz of butter spray, no syrup or other embellishments. They are slightly sweet yet hearty and you would never know they were...aaack...good for you! Thanks for the recipe.

I thought these were going to be heavy, but they are surprisingly light and taste great. I added only about 2 tablespoons of oil rather than 1/2 cup. I also added some ground flax and chopped walnut. A very fast, easy and delicious recipe for a great, healthy breakfast.
