Crock Pot Ravioli

Recipe #64138 | 4¼ hours | 10 min prep | SERVES 6 -8 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: ~Bekah~

This is a recipe that I adopted from a sweet chef by the name of CBW. A real doll. "I always plan a crock pot meal for Sunday afternoon so that it's all ready after church, and I wanted something different than the chicken we usually end up with. This was a big hit!"

Ingredients

  • 1 (25 ounce) bag beef ravioli
  • 1 (26 ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • cup water
  • 2-3 teaspoons red pepper
  • Italian spices
  • cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Directions

    1. 1
Pour about half of the pasta sauce in the bottom of crock pot.
    2. 2
      Add frozen ravioli.
    3. 3
Pour additional pasta sauce, tomato sauce, water, and red pepper over ravioli (I usually pour the pasta sauce on first and then shake together the tomato sauce, water, and red pepper in the empty pasta sauce jar to mix them).
    4. 4
      Sprinkle Italian seasonings over sauces.
    5. 5
      Sprinkle cheese on top.
    6. 6
Turn crock pot on low and cook for 4-5 hours (until ravioli are tender).

This was easy for my DH to put together. It smelled really good while cooking. As suggested by Mrs. Lumpy he did add 1/2 cup wine and 1/2 cup water. He also added fresh garlic. The sauce had a nice flavor and kick do to the red pepper. The only thing was the ravioli were to mushy, they only cooked for 3 hours. Not sure how to fix that. All in all an easy meal to prepare.

Used a bag of 33oz Ravioli, cheese filled. Used a 15oz of tomato sauce and one jar of Spaghetti sauce, Newmans Own Sockaroni. cooked on low for 4.5 hours, last 30 min's turned to high. I layered the ravioli and topped with garlic powder, red pepper crushed, and parmesan cheese. This was SO delicious. I was able to get 4 ravioli's for 7 servings. Will make this a staple in our house. Thank you!

Very simple and tasty! Only used 1/2 a teaspoon of red pepper gave it just enough kick for use. Didn't use the Mozz used fresh Parm and Romano cheese instead. It was very good! Thanks colorboyswife

Not only was the recipe delicious (I used Reggio's frozen meat ravioli from my grocer), but it was the easiest dish I've ever made! My boyfriend said this one's definitely a dish to repeat. (I should think so - he had three helpings!)
