Impossible Breakfast Pie

You just have to love the Bisquick "impossible" pies!

SERVES 6 -8 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Heat oven to 400 degrees and grease a 10 inch pie plate.
  2. 2
    Cook sausage and onion until sausage is fully cooked; drain.
  3. 3
    Mix sausage, potatoes and 1 cup cheddar cheese in pie plate.
  4. 4
    Combine remaining ingredients except the 1/4 cup cheese and pour into pie plate with the sausage and potato mixture.
  5. 5
    Bake about 40 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. 6
    Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup cheese and bake an additional 2 minutes or until cheese melts.

1. Easy to make 2. Inexpensive 3. YUMMY! The only bad thing I could say is that I was pacing the floor for the 40 minutes it was baking because I was so hungry! This will definitely be made again by me!! Thanks for the tip on the springform pan, that worked great!

    Our family just loves this recipe! My mom started making it years ago for Christmas morning, and it is something that I will continue with my own family. We always had to wait to open presents until after the Breakfast Pie was done cooking. It is delicious and very easy to make! It is also a treat since we only have it at Christmastime.

    One of my PAC picks Spring 2007 Basic contents barely fit in a 9-in pie pan so I transferred to a springform pan before adding the Bisquick topping. Glad I did, it puffed up high and as for taste, well, like you said, who doesn't like an impossible pie? Served it up this morning with fresh fruit. TFS this one Penny.

    I LOVE Impossible pies - I first discovered them when I lived in the States in the 70's for a while! I can't get Bisquick in France to I used a copy cat one that was posted on RecipeZaar! A great breeakfast was had by all! Thanks!
