Quick and Easy Doughnuts

Recipe #63809 | 20 min | 10 min prep | SERVES 10 (Change Servings)

RECIPE BY: AuntWoofieWoof

This was one of my favorite things that my mom made for us kids. When I started making them, I could not make them fast enough for my 4 brothers They just loved them. Very cheap and easy to make too.

Not only did they go up quickly but they tasted a lot better than some of the donuts we've bought at well-known donut shops. Hot from the fryer and sprinkled with cinnamon sugar - yummy!

The kids (and hubby!) just love these, and they're so easy to make! We fry in oil and butter and sometimes vary the taste by sprinkling with powdered sugar and cinnamon, or dipping them in a glaze of powdered sugar, vanilla and water mixed together. This does bring back memories... of the kids when they were younger and would have sleep-overs. This was almost always the sleep-over breakfast.

These are so good and easy! I tear the biscuit in half and make doughnut holes in my frydaddy instead of regular doughnuts. Also, I like a variety of toppings and use powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar, and a glaze of powdered sugar and water! Yummy!
