This is a very nice salsa. I made it with a couple of changes to suit my family - I left out the red pepper flakes, as one of my children would find it too hot and used fresh pineapple chopped finely. I served the salsa over a turkey breast that I marinated in a mole sauce and then grilled on the BBQ. I think that this would be lovely with salmon - I can't wait to try it! Thanks so much for posting.

There is nothing wrong with this recipe....Fabulous....We just served ours with tortilla chips and it was enjoyed by all. Loved the sweet and spicy together. I used 1/2 the jalapeno and left out the red pepper flakes. I would use the whole jalapeno next time to give it a little more bite. I loved this salsa! Made for the Went to the Market tag game.

this is delicious and very refreshing. i did cut the oil down to 1 tsp, i usually omit it from salsas, and i substituted fresh basil for the cilantro- the fresh ingredients this time of year are marvelous!

Rita..This was amazing. Thank you for the wonderful recipe. I made this yesterday and didn't even have the crushed pineapple, but it was fantastic sans the pineapple. I have been in the mood for something with mangoes and not the norm when my boss suggested mango salsa. She gave me a recipe for her salsa then I got on Recipezaar to see if I could find one to compare and yours was the closest and WOW it was good! It was a bit different than hers (even though hers is also wonderful), I think I will have to share this recipe with her.
We just ate it along with some shrimp that I had fixed for dinner. Today I intend to go to the fish market and pick up a wonderful piece of fish to compliment the salsa. Chips are also yummy with it. Can't tell you enough how great this is. Thank you again.
Hugs, Susie
