These are Oh-so-easy and deliciuos. My family has enjoyed them for years. Easy to double.

SERVES 4 (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Combine the first 4 ingredients in a bowl; stir well.
  2. 2
    Place toasted muffin halves, cut side up, on baking sheet.
  3. 3
    Divide tuna mixture evenly among the muffin halves.
  4. 4
    Top with tomato and cheese.
  5. 5
    Broil 2 minutes or until cheese melts.

Can you hear the crunch? I am having this for lunch! Yummy can be, TRUE! DEFINATELY add sweet pickle relish and LOVED the tomato too!

    Lately when I have gone to diner type restaraunts I have been craving tuna melts. But as I try to eat low fat I haven't ordered them for fear of how they were prepared. So when I was looking through Sharon123's reviews for the "I recommend this recipe" game and saw this, I knew I had found my lunch! I used fat free mayo (and only 1 tbsp) and left out the celery as I don't like it but I did use the pickle relish. I used the whole can of tuna on 2 halves of toasted English Muffin and I topped 1 half with 2% American cheese and 1 half with 2% Pepper Jack. Both were excellent. Thanks so much for reminding me that sometimes the simple is the best! What a nice lunch on a rainy dreary day!

    These were so good! I used pepperjack slices and whole wheat english muffins. So easy and will make these often. Thanks!
