I was given an elk roast by a friend at work. I haven't even eaten venison since I was a child and never elk so I searched online for a recipe. I was glad I chose this one because the elk was absolutely outstanding. I did it in the crock pot and the meat just fell apart. The flavor was tremendous. Thanks ChipotleChick!

I tried this recipe with Moose roast and used my slow cooker. It turned out very tasty. I served the roast with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh veggies. Wonderful!

We loved this! I cooked this in my crock pot and added potatoes, carrots and whole mushrooms half-way through cooking and everything came out perfect. Thank you.
