This is so easy. I make it each year for my Christmas buffet and it is always one of the first dishes to disappear!

1 pot (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

  1. 1
    Mix all ingredients.
  2. 2
Cook in crockpot for one hour or on stove top for 30 minutes.
  3. 3
(I personally like mine to cook slowly for a longer time until sauce thickens and is clinging to the sausages.).

Thanks so much for posting. I lost my recipe a long time ago. And have been on the look out for it. Have never seen anyone that did not like it with the smokies or meat balls. Great party hit, even easier now that we have crock pots. thanks, June

This recipe almost made my SIL cry when I brought it to a family reunion. She had good memories of her grandmother bringing the same recipe. I just have to add that I made these yesterday to take to work and placed the hot crockpot on the floor of the car and when I had to stop quickly, the whole two pounds of smokies AND sauce went on the floor of my husband's truck! And that, folks, is what you call a huge mess! KCShell

I was a little wary of this - wasn't sure about the grape jam and chili sauce but it really is great. You can't tell it's grape jam and it adds a slightly sweet flavor to them. I thought it was excellent.
