Fast Bake White Bread (Bread Machine)

A wonderful easy bread, makes lovely fresh tasting toast. Just rises a bit too much you have to keep an eye on it so it doesn't hit the top of the machine and collapse. If it looks like its going to I just open the bread machine up and this seems to slow down the rise just enough. Thanks a lot for this recipe it is a lovely everyday healthy bread.

Thank you so much for this recipe! I had stopped using my breadmaker because I just couldn't find a recipe that I liked. This was a total hit. I have two pieces of bread left and am looking forward to making another loaf tonight!

Great loaf of bread! I don't have a machine so I have been making this by hand . I mix the water and yeast first, add the wet ingredients, then the dry. Knead for 20 minutes, rise 1 hour, punch and form in pan, rise 1 hour (as SponGe has done), then bake at 350 for 1/2 hour. I have tried using all molasses, half molassas and half honey ... both are great. This even worked for me with 100% freshly ground hard red wheat flour! Yum. I make 1 or 2 loaves a week

This makes one excellent loaf of bread. I used molasses and loved the touch of flavor it gave. I am trying to get away from plain white bread so will use this recipe instead of buying bread from the store. Had a nice texture. Thank-you for posting this recipe.
