I can still remember the first time I had one of these cookies at a church picnic as a kid...MMmmm. I've loved them ever since. Easy to make and always popular. A classic!

16 large cookies (change servings and units)

Ingredients

Directions

    Place melted butter in a 9 x 13 baking pan.
  2. 2
    Spread graham cracker crumbs over top.
  3. 3
    Layer the coconut and chips in order given.
  4. 4
    Pour sweetened condensed milk over all.
  5. 5
    Top with nuts.
  6. 6
    DO NOT mix together.
  7. 7
    Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.

    I make these every year at Christmas...."Magic Layer Bars" is another name for these. A VERY good tip.....line 9x13 pan with foil...when the bars cool, they can easily be lifted out and are sooooo much easier to cut!

    Hey! I was intrigued by the butterscotch chips, but taking my cue from other reviewers, I sprinkled mine with Heath chips and M&M's. I guess that makes 9 Layer bars (lol). With a big glass of milk, or cup of coffee, this is MY kind of comfort food.
